The Short Answer

About 70,000 Couples a Year Get Married in Las Vegas

Clark County issued 70,598 marriage licenses in 2025, about 193 a day. Since 2007, the total is 1,548,613. It’s why Las Vegas is called the Wedding Capital of the World.

To find out when all those couples marry, we analyzed every license in the Clark County Clerk’s public data files from 2007 through 2025. Each record includes the date the license was issued, where the couple lives, and their ages.

One thing to know before the numbers: these are license dates, not ceremony dates. Most couples pick up their license the day before or the morning of their wedding, which is why the busiest license days fall just before the famous wedding dates. About 98.2% of licenses turn into a recorded marriage.

About the Data

How We Built These Numbers

Daily counts come from the Clark County Clerk’s marriage license data files, which list every license by issue date from 2007 through 2025. Yearly and monthly totals for 2022–2025 come from the Clerk’s published monthly statistics, because the 2022 data file stops on December 22, 2022. Month and weekday shares combine 2022–2025, to reflect current habits after the 2020–2021 pandemic years.

Counts are licenses issued, not ceremonies performed, and the Clerk notes that figures can shift slightly as records are corrected. Home location is the mailing address on the license.
