What happens if the weather is poor on my wedding day? Safety is our absolute priority. If high winds or low visibility prevent a safe flight into the Grand Canyon, we will work with you to either reschedule for later that day, move to a different date during your stay, or pivot to a stunning ground-based location like Valley of Fire. We monitor flight conditions in real-time to keep you informed.

Are there weight limits for the helicopter? Yes. To ensure the safety, performance, and balance of the aircraft, all passengers must provide their accurate body weight at the time of booking. Aviation regulations require us to stay within a strict certified safety envelope for both individual seats and the total combined weight of the aircraft.

Because the helicopter has a fixed total payload, please be aware that if individual or combined weights are high, it may not be possible to accommodate two additional guests. If a passenger exceeds 250 lbs (113 kg), an additional "comfort seat" may be required to guarantee the safety and comfort of everyone on board. We monitor these totals closely to ensure your flight is both legal and secure.

How do we communicate during the flight? Every guest is provided with a high-end, voice-activated noise-canceling headset. This allows you to speak easily with your partner, your officiant, and your pilot without any background engine noise. It also ensures that your wedding vows are heard clearly by everyone in the aircraft.

What is the best time of year for a Canyon wedding? While we fly year-round, the Spring (March–May) and Fall (September–November) offer the most temperate weather. If you are planning a summer wedding, we highly recommend an early morning flight to enjoy cooler temperatures on the canyon floor before the midday heat.

What should we wear for a helicopter elopement? We recommend "Canyon-ready" elegance. While you should wear your wedding attire, keep in mind that the canyon floor is natural, uneven terrain. We suggest wearing (or bringing) comfortable flat shoes or wedges for the landing. Additionally, loose items like hats or long veils should be secured, as the rotor wash from the helicopter can be quite strong.
